A political figure and reform advocate, Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, has outlined a forward-looking vision for governance ahead of the 2027 elections, calling for a decisive shift away from what he described as “waste and unproductive celebration of mediocrity” in Nigeria’s political culture.

Speaking as part of his “Project 2027” initiative, Odunzeh stressed the need to overhaul the nation’s electoral orientation, urging citizens to prioritize competence, credibility, and long-term development over superficial displays of political strength.

According to him, meaningful change can only emerge when voters recognize the collective power of their votes and deploy it in support of credible alternatives.

He noted that an awakened electorate remains central to building a government that truly reflects the will and aspirations of the people.

Odunzeh, whose political trajectory he described as focused on foundational issues, emphasized the importance of strengthening governance structures to unlock the nation’s human and economic potential.

He argued that sustainable prosperity and stability depend on continuous efforts to refine institutional frameworks and promote accountability.

“My movement is on the positive side,” he said. “It is a forward-looking vision for building a more robust and prosperous society for all. It seeks to expand pathways to success, replacing desperation with dignity and enterprise.”

Addressing residents of Orlu Zone and Imo State at large, Odunzeh framed the current moment as a critical turning point.

He called for reflection on past challenges as a necessary step toward charting a better future.
Quoting a philosophical maxim, he said, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards,” adding that confronting historical realities with honesty and courage would enable citizens to build a stronger and more prosperous society.

The “Project 2027” initiative is expected to shape Odunzeh’s political engagements in the lead-up to the next general elections, with a focus on governance reform, civic awareness, and inclusive development.
